Sherborne Museum Association

Chair and Treasurer for Sherborne Museum
Chair and Treasurer for Sherborne Museum

Sherborne Museum plays an important role in the local community, with a lively programme of events and a developing education service. It is currently managed by the Sherborne Museum Association, however management is about to be transferred from the Association to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) with a newly formed Board of Trustees. To shape our future and raise our profile we are seeking to appoint a Chair and Treasurer for the newly formed Board.

The role of chair is non-executive and the ideal candidate will provide leadership for the Board and have strong local networks and standing to champion the work of the Museum in the local community and beyond.

The Treasurer will oversee the financial affairs of the organisation, ensuring proper compliance at all times, and will undertake book-keeping duties and process payments.

For a recruitment pack please contact the Honorary Curator, Elisabeth Bletsoe on: info@sherbornemuseum.co.uk.  Deadline for applications: 31.12.17. Interviews will be held in the New Year.
