The charity, which is run entirely by volunteers, has raised over £425,000 in the last 20 years for a range of projects including lunches and outings, minibuses and equipment for day centres.

Our primary objective has been to identify gaps in services or problems with existing ones and then work together to improve matters. The Partnership is funded by West Dorset District Council, Sherborne Town Council, Dorset County Council and Sherborne Chamber of Trade.

Team members Gillian Gunner, Sally Westlotorn, Valerie Todd and Caz Rowland scooped four awards for the town including the prestigious GOLD award for best of group, outshining rival former winners Hayle. BA8 0QP |  | The Town Band is a brass music group which was founded in 1961. It provides entertainment in the town and has been extremely successful at national competition level. It incorporates the Sherborne Town Youth Band - tuition is provided for young people who wish to join. As well as a Bavarian style band known as the 'Sherbavarian Stompers'. All the Bands are available for hire and new members are always welcome.
