Welcome to Compton House Cricket Club, North Dorset’s premier team. We are a small but very successful club playing in the Dorset Premier League having gained promotion 6 years ago.
The club itself was founded by the Goodden family, who used to own Compton House, in 1849 and has flourished ever since. We are situated between Yeovil and Sherborne in beautiful Dorset countryside. The pitch, which the club owns, has spectacular views and on sunny evenings the sunset can not be beaten!
The club itself has 2 teams, the Premier League Team and the Tuesday Evening XI which caters for the Juniors and also the more Senior Members of the Club!
We are lucky enough to have our own Clubhouse and Bar, still with the original gas lighting (not connected at present!) and separate changing rooms.
