LEONARDO/ERASMUS PROGRAMME IN SHERBORNE

We have been hosting LEONARDO and ERASMUS students in Sherborne since October 2004. Students usually spend 3 months on work experience with local employers but have also helped SAP itself as well as a number of voluntary organisations in the town.
Our first student in October 2004 was from the Institute of Public Administration in Kielce, Poland. We have also hosted students from the University of West Bohemia in Plzen, Czech Republic; HELHO in Mouscron, Belgium: L'Escale in Niort, France; eCode in Pezinok, Slovakia; the Kaethe-Kollwitz-Schule in Wetzlar, Germany and the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. Students are withus us for the first time from LDV Inter Europa in Logrono in the Rioja Region of Spain and will also be coming from IES Puertos des Quartos in Talavera de la Reina, also in Spain, in October.
Silverio Garcia Coneso (24 - 1st photo, with Luca Csikos on the left and Gemma Wilkes, his supervisor) arrived on 29th June from Logrono in Spain to start a 4 month social work experience placement at Yeovil Trinity Foyer.
Monika Camborova (25 - 2nd photo), a law graduate from the Czech Republic, arrived on 13th July to start a 3 month placement with Sherborne CAP and Dyne Drewett.
Arantxa Martinez Garcia (21 - 3rd photo, with English tutor) from San Adrian near Pamplona in Spain, arrived on 7th July to start a 4 month work experience at the Chapel Cross Cafe.
Luca Czikos (24 - 2nd photo) from Pecs in Hungary arrived at Yeovil Trinity Foyer on 26th July to start a 3 month social work experience placement.
Hana Podojilova (25 - 4th photo) from Plzen in the Czech Republic arrived on 1st August to start a 3 month placement at The Present Finder.
Katja Hammel (25 - 5th photo) from Waldsolms near Wetzlar in Germany arrives on 1st September to spend 6 weeks at the Little Gryphons Nursery.
Lucia Colilla Rodriguez (18) from Calera y Chozas near Toledo in Spain will be arriving on 1st October. She will be working at TENOVUS in Cheap St as well as the Zest Cafe in the Four Leaf Clover Club in Abbey St until 17th December.
Pablo Fernandez Palacios (23) from the same region of Spain will also be arriving in October to start a 3 month placement at The Present Finder.
Jana Jilkova (24) from Kutna Hora in the Czech Republic will be arriving in October to start a 3 month work experience placement at the CAB.
Students have the opportunity to attend a weekly English Class and prepare for the Cambridge Examination.
