LEONARDO in Sherborne

LEONARDO PROGRAMME IN SHERBORNE

For more information about our EU Lifelong Learning Programme in Sherborne and Yeovil, see Project Details.

We have been hosting LEONARDO students in Sherborne since October 2004.  Students usually spend 3 months on work experience with local employers but also spend time with SAP itself as well as with a number of voluntary organisations in the town.

Our first student was from the Institute of Public Administration in Kielce, Poland.  We continue to welcome students from them but have also hosted students from the University of West Bohemia in Plzen, Czech Republic; HELHO in Mouscron, Belgium: L'Escale in Niort, France; eCode in Pezinok, Slovakia; the Kaethe-Kollwitz-Schule in Wetzlar, Germany and the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia.

Our latest student is Mareen Peter (23) from Wetzlar who arrived on 30th August for a 6 week placement at the Little Gryphons Nursery.

We also hope to host students from Kielce and Plzen during the Autumn and a student from Mouscron in February 2009.  Interest in sending students has also come from Kosice in Slovakia, Vilnius in Lithuania and Thessaloniki in Greece.

Contact us to find out more about providing a work experience and/or accommodation (which students pay for themselves, using EU funding) for a student or students.
