Castle Gardens, assisted by staff and service users of the Learning Disability Service in Sherborne, have submitted a successful Fast Track Application for The Green Shed (see logo on R) a recycling project that began operating within their premises on 5th October 2010. They are continuing to produce kindling from old pallets for sale via Castle Gardens and plan other services very soon.
Bishops Caundle Village Shop Community Co-operative submitted their own successful Fast Track Application in December 2010. They took over the shop and Post Office from the previous owners on 4th April 2011 and will be selling a range of goods including local produce.
A further successful bid was submitted by the Castleton Waterwheel Museum in 2010 to enable them to install a steam engine on site as an addition to their existing facilities.
