St Margaret’s Hospice Open Gardens – Magdalene Street, Glastonbury

21 July 2019

Magdalene Street, Glastonbury BA6 9EJ

As part of the Glorious Somerset Gardens Season, in aid of St. Margaret’s Hospice, three gardens in Magdalene Street, Glastonbury will be open to the public on Sunday 21st July 2019 between 2.00pm and 5.00pm. Entry by donations please.

The three gardens are:

Greenhill House: A secluded walled garden with a Catalpa bignoides and a mature Magnolia grandiflora; a mixture of roses, iris and agapanthus adding colour and scent with a background of foliage plants. Using the borders, walls, pots and step-overs there is a selection of apricot, nectarine, apples, pears, plums and cherries. Regret no dogs due to free running chickens! Refreshments on sale, and WC available.

The Covenstead: A lovely courtyard garden in the centre of Glastonbury, Bohemian and relaxed with hammocks and swinging chairs – lay back and enjoy a glass of sangria, or non-alcoholic alternative.

Magdalene House: The garden has been a winning entry in Glastonbury in Bloom for the last seven years, a front garden of a bed and breakfast business with stunning container grown plants, a narrow slate path allows walkway to view the plants.

Parking on road, or the Public Car Park Opposite Magdalene Street.
