Luke Mouland, Sherborne museum’s archivist, explores the pivotal role played by people of Sherborne and many surrounding villages in nursing the wounded in the First World War. Hear how these people set trends in nursing not only in Dorset, but also for the country, and see if you can recognise some of the town and village properties involved. You will also find out what “Hospital Blues” were, and why they were necessary. A fascinating illustrated presentation open to all, followed by tea and cake.
