The Walnut Tree stands just over the border from Dorset in the delightful Somerset Village of West Camel.  The family run hotel which is situated in a tranquil setting creates a welcoming atmosphere with thirteen beautiful en-suite bedrooms each with there own individual characteristics.  All of our rooms are non-smoking.  There are six ground floor bedrooms three of which have their own patio gardens, one of which has a luxury four poster bed.  Other features of our rooms also include its own outside balcony and several are fitted with corner baths, all rooms come with modern amenities such as tea/coffee facilties, hairdryers etc.

With a choice of two Restaurants, the Rosewood Restaurant and the Bar.  The Walnut Tree has a fine reputation for its home made cuisine with an extensive menu ranging from a Warm Chicken and Bacon Salad to Fillet Steak with a Cream Red Chilli Pepper sauce.  To finish off your meal a delicious selection of home made desserts are available such as Brandy Snap Baskets filled with Strawberry ice cream and fresh fruits served on a fruit couli.  Chocolate cups filled with white and dark chocolate mousse on a Tia Marie sauce.

Tuesday - Sunday Lunchtimes, 12 noon - 2pm
Monday - Saturday Evenings, 6.30pm - 9pm

The Walnut Tree is situated in a location within easy travelling distance of several local places of interest including: The Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton, Sparkford Museum, Stourhead House and Gardens, Sherborne Historical Town and Abbey, Clarks Shopping Village at Street, Cheddar Gorge, Montacute House (filming of Sense and Sense Ability) also within an easy driving distance are many of North Somerset and South Dorset's Coastlines.
