ONWARD Driver Training
For Business:
ONWARD Driver Training and assessment services ensure that your business complies with all the Road Traffic Acts, Health and Safety at Work Regulations, PUWER Regulations 1998 (a legal requirement if you operate off-road), and the Corporate Manslaughter Bill.
Our systems ensure that employers have up-to-the-minute auditory control of the standards and records of both drivers and the vehicle fleet, including any 'grey' fleet (privately-owned vehicles used for business).
We are licensed by the DVLA to carry out driving licence database checks for pre-employment screening and audit purposes.
Best of all, we can save your business a substantial amount in running costs every year, by training your drivers in safe and fuel-efficient methods. This will drastically reduce your fuel usage, vehicle emissions, wear and tear, and collision risk. Employees who drive will feel greatly reduced stress levels and perform their other duties far more efficiently, as well as being at greatly reduced risk in their private motoring.
For the Voluntary Sector:
We can also advise on the duty of care requirements for Voluntary Organisations and others who use volunteer drivers and provide a driver competency assessment service.
ONWARD are one of only a handful of independent trainers in the UK who are able to offer Emergency Response (Blue Light) and Response (Green Light) Driver Training to bona fide Response Drivers, from Doctors and Organ Retrieval Specialists, to volunteer Ambulance Drivers, such as St.John Ambulance crew members.
For Private Drivers:
We also offer training to private individuals, including:
- Trailer training and test preparation (B+E) for those who passed their car test after January 1st, 1997;
- Confidence recovery for those who 'don't like driving', have had a collision, or a long break from driving;
- Motorway and dual carriageway experience;
- Parking and manoeuvring your vehicle, especially for those with restricted movement or lost confidence.
- Personal and vehicle safety, including Defensive Driving
