Gilyard Scarth was established in 1990 by founding Partner John Scarth, soon joined by Chartered Surveyors David Wheeler and Richard Keenlyside, each of whom had previously worked in the local area for many years.

The Firm rapidly expanded from its roots in Sherborne to cover all of North and West Dorset together with parts of South Somerset and South West Wiltshire. The Firm now has offices in Shaftesbury, Gillingham and Mere to supplement its Head Office in Sherborne. Each of the offices is staffed by experienced local and professional personnel, most of whom have worked in estate agency in the district for all of their professional lives.

Gilyard Scarth supports the sale and letting of residential properties, surveyor services, property auctions and commercial property services.
