A warm welcome awaits at this beautifully furnished converted stone barn. Situated 2 miles from Sherborne Town and a short drive from the popular wedding venues of Sherborne Abbey, Castle and Lower Stockbridge Barn. Stoneleigh Barn is the perfect place to stay for your wedding night or special occassion.  Families very welcome, however we are sorry we cannot accommodate pets (resident German Pointer)For our guests comfort we do not allow smoking within the building. Swimming pool open during the summer months according to the weather.  

Accommodation and Gardens.

 

The accommodation comprises of 2 En suite 4 Poster rooms both with bath rooms and a larger than average Ground floor room with en suite shower room.All rooms have Free view televisions, hairdryers, mini fridge, foot spa, irons and boards,tea and coffee facilities and complimentary sherry. Access to WiFi is limited due to the age and construction of the building(very thick walls)

4 Poster Honeymoon suite (pic 2) ideal for romantic wedding nights, anniversaries, special occasions.  A special wedding night package is available including champagne, handmade chocolates, flowers to match the bridal scheme and a Bucks Fizz breakfast. Price on application.

 

Self contained family suite sleeps 2 adults plus maximum 2 children plus a baby (pic 3) parents room ( 2 children can be accommodated in an adjacent room ) The suite has a good selection of baby equipment including food/bottle warmer, steam sterilizer, baby bath, potty, baby listening device and a range of DVD's and toys to keep our smaller guests amused.

 

Ground floor room with shower room.  This room is not specifically designed for wheelchair use and therefore some mobility is required entering the bed room and moving around within and using the facilities in the shower room(fold down seat within the shower and a frame is available for the toliet). Breakfast may be served in this room by arrangement for the convenience of our not so agile guests. This room also has a sofa bed that sleeps a child, a cot is also available.

 

Superb Dorset style home cooked breakfasts using locally sourced ingredients. Freshly prepared and cooked by your host Kevin. Special diets catered for, please mention when booking. Home grown produce in season from our kitchen garden and freshly laid eggs from our chickens and ducks. Children have their own mini menu. A high chair or booster seat is provided in the dining room.

 

Enjoy the landscaped gardens with covered out door swimming pool . Or relax by the fish pond or in the shade of the South African Rotunda after an exciting day exploring the delights of the beautiful Dorset countryside and coastline.

                     

Secure parking for 3 guest cars within a gated area. Security lit at night.

 

Room rates including breakfast - Low season from £75.00 per night based on 2 sharing.  High season from £85.00 per night based on 2 sharing.  Children according to age.  Single occupancy from £45.00 - £65.00 per night. At weekends and Bank holidays the minimum booking is for two nights.  We regret we are unable to accept payments by debit or credit cards.

 

 

Where to find Us.

Stoneleigh Barn is situated on the A3030.  Leave Sherborne on the A352 towards Dorchester. After a mile,turn left onto the A3030, descend the hill and enter North Wootton. Turn left immediately after the North Wootton/40mph signs and follow the lane round to the right. You will see our entrance on the left through the open 5 bar gate.
