The Club’s home ground is on the Sherborne Terraces off the Dorchester road; we have recently invested in a new cricket square boasting a dozen new strips.  This is for the longevity of the cricket club and we hope to help improve the standard of facilities for the future.

We also have in future plans to make some grass nets in addition to our existing all weather practice facilities.

Our Club has two teams that play on a Saturday and one league team on a Sunday whilst we also have a relaxed team on a Sunday for people who wish to have a social game!

In the Winter our Practice sessions are in the local Sherborne Boys School Sports Centre on Thursday evenings from 8pm – 9pm.

In the summer we practice on Wednesday Evenings from 6pm onwards.

A thriving junior section (7-16 yrs) meets and plays every Friday evening. Enquiries to Paul Blackmore: Tel Number: 07738 582 907.

We are always welcoming New Players to our warm & Friendly Club Please contact David Miles: 01305 266 752

If you are not interested in playing however are interested to become a social member and enjoy a good standard of cricket and enjoy the sunshine (hopefully!) then please don’t hesitate to join our prestigious but welcoming club!  Please contact David Miles or John Townley: 01935 813382

A brief History of our club includes being founded in 1837, an active member of the Dorset League system; we have won the Dorset Premier League a record amount of times.  We have 2 cricket pitches and currently play cricket in the Dorset 1st Division.
We have had famous cricketers play for us at Sherborne Cricket club from the former Test match stars of Gary Kirsten (SA) to Aravinda de Silva (SL).

We welcome you all either as visitors or as new members of Sherborne Cricket Club.
